c̅[1] 7th Army
15 Mar 45 @ 1:30 PM
Hi, darlin’,
Well—the radio this morning
told you what my 7th Army-116th-Evac.-life
will be like for a time to come. All night
while on duty there was a drone that
meant “snafuing” of their supply routes—
its really a huge-collosal-undescribable
drama each time it happens. Life just
isnt real at a time like this—or
maybe so dastardly-real that a peac[e]ful
American boy from a small town cant
[even after months][2] comprehend/”grasp” it. It’s
odd, but one thing that I always return
to in the midst of this unreality is that
Realness-Fineness of Our Love.
Again—after a skip of several days—
let me “repitition” something that I said
only once while chattering about American
Boards. Dearest—this is all “philosophy,”
but if I am able to pass American Board
Anesthesiologist it is for you & Terry[3]—
not for the honor (“promotion”) (“grandeur”) (etc) of
a Specialists Certification—its for
you two as regards what it might mean
financially/materially to you. Sincerely!
honestly! I am not money {mad [or] grabbing[4]—its
just that the title “Specialist” means so
[2]
little in actual, Christian, sincere, basic Life.
Again—the “cloak” of Diplomatic Amer.
Board of Anesthesiologists is something to
be work loosely as a garment—not as
a part of oneself.
I may (because of circumstances,
time, livelihood, pragmatism (OUCH!), etc, etc)
never complete the Board. Even if I
do complete it, it still shouldn’t be
a severe-guide of our Life—just an
ace-up-our[5]-sleeves. Do you see what
I mean re: all this, dearest?
[Rep][6] A field jacket pkg. doubly
wrapped (you just tear off outside wrapping) needs
to have written on it:—P.F.C. Mickey
Iacobuzio, A-207613, Co. 11-21st Regt,
Ft. Ogilthorpe, Georgia.
Now 2:10PM (note starting time):—
JUST THIS SPLIT SECOND
my dearest—ITS {HERE—HAPPENED[7]
like a bolt-from-the-blue———
“The-Mess-Called-Moving”!
Oh I love you two so deeply,
Dave
YOU HORRID KRAUT-SHITS—HERE WE
COME———
