infact Im a wee bit “scared” about

being unworthy of so fine a heart/person

when I do come back—it was

so fine, so loving, so feeling when I

left, that its increases during my

absence will make me sorta unworthy.

Yes, dearest, I love you, admire you, &

reverence you sooooo! I hope I have at

least partially expressed something in this last

paragraph—it’s kinda hard & ina[de]quate to do so.

Before, I forget again——do

you know any Danish people? Maybe

of course a guy by the name of Dan

is adequate. Anyhoooo, you give me

your help & thoughts, as mine seem

pretty uncertain & inadequate.

Come to think of it [in the same vein of thought][1]

you know that the car body “fixer” in Fitchburg

by the name of Kuiru is [Finnish]. What

Norwegians & Swedes do you know?

I’ll soon be sending home a

medium sized box by parcel post.

I hereby apologize for any of the dirty clothes it has in it

but it is impossible to have them otherwise. In this

box will be a manila envelope c̅[2] all

sorts of papers ‘n stuff. I know you’ll be

purrty [sic] busy each day but someday just

run through these papers as they

might be important (or remotely—called for).

[4]

Your Minneapolis-mailed letter

came c̅ the one noon-time Sunday

delivery. Hoooray! Apparently Minneapolis

service (or connections) are better than

Rochester’s. There are only two things

in the letter:— Mrs Gillespie says

that their boy is really an awfully

good boy 98% of the time——well,

Terrell David[3] is a good boy inately,

& secondarily maybe their little trouble

makes them all the better boys.

[I must now chide/razz you][4]. You wrote about

how the rain stopped so as to get

Thump[5] on the train; etc; etc; & went on

to say [QUOTE][6] “God was on our side.” I

would alter that just a wee bit &

quote the already famous words of

Fighter Joe Louis—“WE ARE ON GOD’S

SIDE”!!

Please, dearest, do as Dr Keith,

Dr Gillespie, & Doc Wilsey say about

your approach to Thump——be

easy & normal. Why! he has so

much inate socko that you just

couldn’t hurt-harm-undo anything

about him. ‘N besides, Thump & I want

you happy ‘cuz we Love ya sooo,

Dave
