part #1 which is just an explainatory [sic]

letter of today’s shopping (?!) {This for you Another for Thump[2] Another for Aunt K[3]

P.S. All 3 being sent tonight.

As stated in Part #1 you should find

3 French bills tucked into this French-

German (ersatz) ration coupon book viz:—

5 Fr. bill, 5 Fr. bill, & 20 Fr. bill. In one of

my recent letters I sent 37 Fr. (part French

& part “Army”-French).

There is one thing I can say for

this souvenir—it will lay

nice and flat, & fit nicely into your

scrap book. [P.S. A sad commentary!][4]

P.S. Thank Dad lots for his Jan 20th airmail

that came c̅ your Jan 20th airmail. I answered his Jan 12th’s (?) [via V-mail last night.][5]

P.S. Anytime you want to send that second batch of

air-envelopes-stationary is well c̅ me; really useable!
