Hi, Precious,
Again its gotta be just a
note saying little more than I LOVE YOU,
I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU—SOOOOO!
Dr. R. sent me the Oct “Wis Alumnus.”[2]
Gee! I was tickeled to see how our
marriage (indirectly) was listed as under
Terry’s “Births.” I also see I’m at
Camp Forrest, Tenn.—howz about
coming down to see me, huh? Its really
a joke—more times Cp Forrest pops
up in the this-or-that relationship, and I
never even saw the place though all
writings say I did. Oh, me!
I forgot to remention [sic] in my
“America-Letter” last night that for
a Happy New-Years Present I sent you $50
via P.T.A..[3] Also—heres hoping the
EFMs[4] to you, Thump[5] & Mom-Dad are in
your hands by now. Please don’t fail to
report on all PTAs (1st one a $50 for Xmas presents
to you 4 at home—$12.50 each) & EFM’s. Probably
my chronology is screwy but I think
you forgot to tell me of those first 2

Marsielle EFMs send 4 days apart (but arriving
simultaneously) for quite awhile. They just
make us so “geographically-nearer” if
I learn sooner that they arrived.
Until all this uncertainty/sitting-
on-a-fence re: moving settles down
one way or the other, I imagine my letters
will be sorta lousey-unnice-hasty,
dearest. I know you’ll understand, though.
No letter today & as yet never a
pkg from you. Did I tell you Mrs Green
sent me a nice bunch of things?
Well, off to another 8PM→8AM again

so severely busy & that I had more time
to express my——deepest, greatest,

as they should get on a different boat-
plane as the first bunch of 3. I’ll package
up [I hope][7] the Old Spice {“cologne” “body powd”}[8] for you & Mom}[9] tomorrow.
